Paid Foster Carers

Paid Foster Carers

The animal rescue and rehabilitation arm of our organisation will always put the needs of animals first, and as such we seek compassionate, heart-centered people who will endeavour to achieve the very best outcome for every creature. Hence we encourage applications for the many and varied positions with us.

Our organisation is commencing in southern Queensland but will spread outward from there rather quickly. There are positions available for people who would like to foster an animal in their home. There are also positions available for people who would like to work at our shelters a few hours a day for two or three days per week. Both of these roles are paid positions, but we have one not-negotiable criteria – you absolutely MUST be an animal lover who will take a real interest in the work. You must be dedicated to the health and well-being of all creatures great and small.

There will be different shelters to choose from. Some shelters will look after elderly animals. Other shelters will look after younger animals who will go on to find a forever home with a family who loves them. Some properties will be set up to care for horses, while others will be specifically for cats or dogs. Please let us know which of these you prefer.

If you have the time and the patience to foster a pet at home, you will need to have a clean home with secure fences, no children or other pets who might harm or be in danger from your new foster pet, and a genuine love for the type of animal that you foster. You may be a cat lover and would be perfect to foster a cat. Or, you may be a dog lover so looking after dogs would suit you best. Or you may only have enough room to look after a bird. No matter which situation suits you, please feel free to get in touch.

This is a paid position. It is not volunteer. If you have retired and are seeking an income from doing something that you truly love to do, we encourage you to apply. We are seeking those who have a genuine love for animals and would like to make a difference in the life of an animal, so if this is you, please do get in touch with us. We will be able to help with your relocation costs should you be successful in your application.
